With Ireland in the midst of a heated campaign on same-sex marriage that will culminate in a nationwide vote next month, a Dublin stationary company got so fed up with all the homophobic leaflets it was receiving that it decided to do something useful with them.

Daintree Papers, an independent stationary shop, is shredding the leaflets to make wedding confetti

Under its "Shred of Decency" campaign, the shop says it is producing "confetti made from 100% recycled lies"

#shredofdecency is now trending in #Dublin http://t.co/RrBA6lz14f
